The purpose of the Multi-Pathway Residential Metals Abatement Program (RMAP) (hereafter referred to as RMAP or the Program) is to ensure the public and environmental health of the residents of the Butte Priority Soils Operable Unit (BPSOU) and certain adjacent areas by effectively identifying and mitigating potentially harmful exposures to sources of lead, arsenic, and mercury at residential properties, schools, daycare facilities, parks, and playgrounds.
