Abstract
The genetic background of a plant species influences its potential to become invasive. This lecture provides insight to the invasion of giant goldenrod and focuses on different management practices used to control the plant in its non-native European range.

David Nagy is a PhD candidate at the University of Pecs (Hungary). He has a B.S. and a M.S. in biology. His work focuses on studying invasive plant species in their non-native and native ranges and understanding the role of genetics in biological invasions.
