Abstract
Mark Mariano is a graduate student at Montana Tech and is currently completing his Restoration Certificate. During his capstone project he performed several different experiments to study how crested wheatgrass may be limiting the success of native plant restoration on the Butte Hill. One of his most essential findings is that this Eurasian plant creates a physical and chemical barrier for native plant recruitment.
