- Organophosphates (OP) inhibit the breakdown of neurotransmitters and are extremely toxic
- Silica-supported metal catalysts can neutralize OP in presence of H2O2
- H2O2 is hazardous to transport, unsustainable to produce
- Silica decomposes during synthesis
