Abstract
Invasive plants threaten the economy and ecology of Montana range and wild lands. This presentation covers how and where invasive plants are impacting Montana and discusses various research projects about their biology, ecology, and integrated management.

Dr. Jane Mangold is an Associate Professor and Extension invasive plant specialist in the Department of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences at MSU. Her research and Extension program focuses on understanding the biology and ecology of invasive plants, so that we can manage them most effectively on range and wild lands of Montana and the western United States. Dr. Mangold’s Bachelor’s degree is in Biology from Iowa State University. Her Master’s is in abused land rehabilitation and her Ph.D. is in land resource and environmental sciences, both from MSU.
