This presentation will be an update on where we are in 2019 with respect to Climate Change: How are models performing? What are some of the practical effects? What can we do to adaptively manage? What can we adaptively manage? What should you be watching for? What should you be doing? How will all of this impact Butte? How can we develop restoration strategies for the Butte Superfund complex?

Dave Williams is a geologist with the U S Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management. He’s been active on mine permitting and reclamation issues for decades and has presented several papers on the impacts Climate Change will have on the mining industry. As a volunteer he serves as President of CTEC (the local EPA TAG Group, Citizens Technical Environment Committee) and also on the BNRC advisory board.
