Description
This historically-important document, the 300-page “Report to the Montana Legislative Assembly from the Montana Commission on Executive Reorganization (December 1970)” was the product of 1½ years of activity of the Commission and its staff. It presented to the 1971 Legislature the executive branch organizational framework that resulted a major change in Montana law and state governmental structure embodied in the Executive Reorganization Act - Chapter 272, Laws of Montana, 1971 - Title 82A, R.C.M. 1947. Today Montana’s current executive branch structure substantially reflects the recommendations of this report from the Commission which was chaired by Governor Forrest H. Anderson.
