Dr. Zafar A Reshi is a Professor in the Department of Botany, University of Kashmir. In his presentation he will talk about present knowledge and understanding of alien plant invasions in the Indian Himalayan region which is rich not only in biodiversity and part of the Himalayan biodiversity hotspot, but also rich in cultural and ethnic diversity. The talk would delve into the causes and consequences of plant invasions and also identify and flag key knowledge gaps that need urgent attention.
