Abstract

The virtues of alloy steels have been widely publicized in both technical literature and everyday advertising. Nearly everyone possessing a slight knowledge of metallurgy knows the beneficial effects of chromium in the manufacture of stainless steels, or the importance of nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, and other common elements used to alloy steels.
